Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer job is considered to be very prestigious, every year, thousands of aspirants appear for the JE recruitment examination. As per the sources, this time SSC Junior Engineer examination is expected to be conducted in the month of February 2020. The SSC Junior Engineer examination will be held in two parts that are Objective Test and Written Test. In the objective test, candidates have to answer Multiple Choice Questions of 200 marks and (120 minutes) will be given to the candidates to solve the MCQ. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. And the written test will be of 300 marks and (120 minutes) will be given to the candidates to solve the test. SSC JE Exam Pattern (By Tier)

SSC Junior Engineer examination contains 2 stages that are-

  1. Objective Test
  2. Written Test

The first is Objective Test contains the Multiple Choice Questions, the test is of 200 marks and the duration of the test is 2 hours

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

The Written Test will be of 300 marks and the duration of the test is 2 hours (120 minutes)

Moment of area and moment of inertia for rectangular & circular sections, bending moment and shear stress for tee, channel and compound sections. Chimneys, dams and retaining walls, eccentric loads, slope deflection of simply supported and cantilever beams, critical load and columns, Torsion of circular section.

Circuit law: Kirchhoff‟s law, Simple Circuit solution using network theorems. Magnetic Circuit: Concepts of flux, mmf, reluctance, Different kinds of magnetic materials, Magnetic calculations for conductors of different configuration e.g. straight, circular, solenoidal, etc. Electromagnetic induction, self, and mutual induction.
